Common questions
How does someone join my round?
Read them the five-character code. They tap Join with a code on the home screen, enter it, and pick their name off the roster if you've already added them. They'll appear in your round straight away.
Can I enter scores for other people in my group?
Yes. Anyone in a tee group can post scores for that whole group, so one person can keep the card without passing the phone around. You can't enter scores for a group you aren't in.
I typed the wrong score. Can I fix it?
Yes, until the group signs its card off. Open the Scorecard tab and change the number. Everything derived from it — the match, the points, the skins, the leaderboard, the cut — is recalculated from the strokes, so correcting a hole corrects the whole day. Once a card is signed off it's locked; the host can reopen the round if something needs fixing after that.
What happens if I lose signal?
Keep scoring. Holes you've typed are held on the phone, including if the app closes, and you save them once you're back in range. Pars and yardages are stored in the round when it's created, so nothing needs the network to keep a card.
My round says it isn't updating.
The banner means the live connection has dropped, not that anything is lost. What's on screen is the last good data. It reconnects on its own; you can also pull down on any screen to refresh, or tap the banner.
Who can delete a round?
Only its host, and it deletes for everyone — every score, the skins and the draw go with it, and it can't be undone. If you just want a round out of your own history, swipe it away in History; that hides it for you and leaves it for everyone else. It works on a round still in progress too, which is the way to clear one nobody ever finished. Entering its join code again brings it back.
All my rounds disappeared.
The app has no accounts — your rounds are tied to an anonymous identity stored on the device. If that's lost, by deleting the app or reinstalling, there's no way to reconnect a new install to the old rounds. The rounds still exist for everyone else in them, and a host can re-add you to a live round by name. We know this is a sharp edge; email us if it's bitten you.

The course I want isn't there, or its card is wrong.
Course cards come from a database that doesn't cover everywhere and isn't always right. When you pick a course, the app checks that its card adds up to its own par and throws it out if it doesn't. Either way you can put the real one in: tap Review the card under a course to correct a hole, Type the card where a course has no usable one, or Can't find it? Type the card under any search to create a course the database doesn't have. Par is 3, 4 or 5 a hole; yardage is optional. A card you type is saved into your round and comes back under Recently played next time.
Why do I have to subscribe to start a round?
Hosting is the paid part, and it pays for the course data and the live scoring. It's $0.99 a month or $4.99 a year, with the first 7 days free, billed through your Apple ID. Only the person who sets up the round needs it — everyone they invite joins with the code and plays for free. Cancel or change it under Subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; you keep hosting until the end of the period you've paid for. On a new phone, tap Restore purchases on the hosting screen and Apple hands it back.
How do I share a result?
Tap the share icon on a group's result, on the Results screen for the Big Game, or on the skins tally. You get a picture card to send to the group chat, or Save Image to keep it in your photos. Saving asks for permission to add to your photo library and nothing else — the app never reads what's in it. If a picture can't be made, the same result goes out as text.
How does Carts, Drivers, Others score?
Three six-hole matches with a different partner each time. A won six is 1 point to each player on the winning side, a halved six ½ each; a closeout inside a six is worth ½ more, ¼ each if halved. Points are per person, so your total can be 2¾. The full rules, with the other games, are on the games page.
